W6C Coming Soon to a Band Near You
Filed Under Club News, Special Event, Upcoming Events | Comments Off
It’s less than a week until the W6C special event station (March 21-28, 0000-2359 UTC). Preparations are ramping up, and there will be good representation across bands and modes. Here are a few places you’re likely to find us:
- 10 m SSB or CW during the day
- 80/40 m SSB or CW during the night
- 20 m SSB or CW as operators are available
- 2 m APRS, including via the ISS (RS0ISS)
- 2 m FM simplex on 146.430 MHz
- Via satellite, particularly SO-50
There are also a few places we haven’t confirmed yet, but would like to be:
- PSK/RTTY/JT-65 on HF
- 6 m SSB or CW
- 6/2 m Meteor scatter
If you hear us on the air, give us a spot! Our 2 m operation is likely to be based in Cory Hall, where some of the students who came to the recent exam session will be running that station.
